Notes on the examination/treatment
Preparation:
- You should not eat for 8 hours before the examination.

You should not drink water 4 hours before the test.
- You should not chew gum two hours before the examination.
- It is recommended to refrain from smoking on the day of the examination.
- You should not take any medications before the examination, as the dissolved tablets make it difficult to accurately assess the mucous membrane; alternatively, you can only take solid medications that are absolutely necessary.
- The test should not be performed during antibiotic therapy - antibiotics may distort the test results, the patient can perform the test at least 5 days after discontinuing antibiotics.
- Painkillers and sedatives may be administered during the examination, so it is necessary to bring a companion with you. The patient must not drive for 12 hours after receiving the medication
- During the examination, the doctor may decide to take samples for histopathological evaluation and possible further immunohistochemical diagnosis (histopathological and immunohistochemical analysis is subject to an additional fee).
- It is recommended to present your previous test results to your doctor.
If the examination will be performed under general anesthesia with an anesthesiologist:
- The need for an examination under general anesthesia with an anesthesiologist should be reported at the time of registration for the examination!
- Anesthesia with an anesthesiologist is an additional fee.
- You should not eat for 8 hours before the examination.
- You should refrain from drinking and chewing gum for 4 hours before the examination.
- It is recommended to refrain from smoking on the day of the examination.
- You should not take any medications before the examination, as the dissolved tablets make it difficult to accurately assess the mucous membrane; alternatively, you can only take solid medications that are absolutely necessary.

- Before the examination under anesthesia, no need to remove nail polish or hybrid/gel nails.

Patients should arrive for the examination approximately 30 minutes before their scheduled appointment time.
Before the examination, a health questionnaire is completed, and the anesthesiologist decides whether anesthesia may be administered. - After the examination, the patient remains at the Luxmed Medical Center for approximately one hour.
- Administration of anesthesia requires arrival at the facility with an accompanying person who will wait for the patient immediately after the examination.
- At home, you should also have adult supervision until the next morning.
- You cannot drive a motor vehicle for 24 hours after anesthesia.
